Mark Twain Lake consists of 18,600 acres of surface water and is surrounded by 38,400 acres of land managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Because it is a Corp project, the shoreline is pristine and undeveloped. The lake is approximately 27 miles in length and provides 285 miles of beautiful shoreline. This lake is a popular fishing spot in the region, with a variety of species. It is ideal for both sailboats and motor boats. With nearly 12 nautical miles available, the Lake has good accommodations at two marinas, Blackjack Marina and Indian Creek Marina. You’ll also find campgrounds, picnic shelters, beaches, playgrounds, boat ramps and marinas, along with numerous private facilities offering lodging, dining, shopping, and family entertainment.
